  • Gravel Streets – grading & patching<\/li>

    • Gravel Street- Construct additional pavement layer to increase bearing capacity of street originally<\/li>

          • Restore drainage slabs, clean existing drains, and excavate for new drains within city.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

            COUNCIL’S PROPERTIES<\/strong><\/h6>
            • Inspect all Council’s buildings, offices and parks for safety and general maintenance.<\/li>
            • Recommend maintenance work and repairs.<\/li><\/ul>
              \u00a0<\/h6>
              BUILDING CONSTRUCTION<\/strong><\/h6>
              • Take necessary steps to ensure compliance with existing legislation and council policies governing building construction by-laws, zoning and other such legislation.<\/li>
              • Ensure City wide inspections are being carried out as it relates to any ongoing construction to ensure compliance with an approved plan. \u00b7<\/li>
              • Maintain vigilance to any illegal construction and ensure remedial action to address such violations.<\/li>
              • Assist Trade Licensing Board with inspection of businesses in regards to the structural aspects of buildings.<\/li><\/ul>
                \u00a0<\/h6>
                BUILDING REGULATIONS TO CONSIDER:<\/strong><\/b><\/h6>
                • The building shouldn\u2019t occupy more than 2\/3rds of surface area of property, unless approved otherwise.<\/li>
                • Any construction should be at least 4 feet away from the boundary of property.<\/li>
                • All construction should have an approved plan by the council.<\/li>
                • In event that you\u2019re constructing a fence and it shouldn\u2019t be above 6 feet high, unless approved otherwise.<\/li>
                • All driveways over open drains should have an approved plan.<\/li>
                • The building plan should always be on site, in case of a building inspection.<\/li><\/ul>
