National Service Day Clean-Up (Independence Park)

The Belmopan City Council proudly commemorates National Service Day as we honor the legacy of the Right Honorable George Cadle Price, the father of our nation and a staunch advocate of civic pride. On this significant day, we reflect upon the values and principles that late Hon. Price held dear, emphasizing the importance of community service and unity in building a stronger, more inclusive Belize. Hon. Price’s unwavering commitment to public service continues to inspire us, reminding us that together, we can achieve greatness.

As we pay tribute to Right Hon. George Price’s enduring vision, the Belmopan City Council and staff repainted park benches and conducted a clean up campaign at the Independence Park and Parque Las Americas. As a community we must foster the spirit of civic engagement and pride within our community. We encourage residents to actively participate in the betterment of our beloved city.

Today, let us remember the words and deeds of a great leader, and let them guide us as we strive for a more prosperous and harmonious Belize.

“ I believe that a country’s first duty is to set its own house in order; and having set its own house in order, it can contribute better to the community of the world. Instead of being a weak link, it should be a strong link.” Right Hon.George Cadle Price.

We thank the Belmopan City Council Staff, Belmopan Comprehensive School and the UB Envirornmental Group for joining us today.

Special mention to Comex Belmopan who donated paint for this event.
