Visit to Banana Bank

C

ouncilor Pauline Soberanis Tillett, with a portfolio of diverse abilities and special needs, collaborated with Leisa Carr, one of the owners/managers of Banana Bank Lodge, after meeting and hearing the story of 15-year-old Britney Menterroza, who was born blind.

Britney and her family were thrilled to visit the ranch today, where they participated in the Round 10 Session: learning about horses, touching and feeling them, and becoming comfortable around them. The family has several more sessions scheduled until Britney feels comfortable riding and going on trails.
Special thanks to Chico, the trainer, for his gentle handling of Britney and her family. We express our sincere gratitude to the staff and management of Banana Bank Lodge.
